Over the past decade, the Caddo Parish School System has lost tens of millions of dollars in potential revenue to corporate tax giveaways. Money that would have otherwise gone to best serve our students has instead contributed to the bottom-line of big business with little return on investment to our community.

School board members will consider additional multi-million-dollar proposals at the February 13 school board meeting. We can’t let them approve these proposals without a clear set of standards in place holding big businesses accountable to the communities they serve.

The school district can’t afford to keep giving away millions in needed dollars at the expense of our schools and our students. Join us at the meeting to send a message to board members telling them it's time to get it right and put Caddo Parish students' needs first when considering corporate tax exemption proposals.
