Come meet new people as we explore Caltrain’s new electric trains and weekend schedule by visiting some of the San Mateo and Santa Clara County’s bake houses, coffee shops and farmers markets. We will make our way down the Peninsula, starting in Burlingame and ending in Palo Alto with a pit-stop in Menlo Park. All our destinations are a few steps away from Caltrain Stations!

Detailed Itinerary

Stop 1: 10:00 AM Burlingame’s Twelvemonth Bakehouse to pick up baked goodies. Welcome to all!

Stop 2: Catch train at 10:51 or 11:21 to Menlo Park’s Saint Frank Coffee to pick up coffee.

Stop 3: Palo Alto’s Palo Alto Farmers Market to wander and pick up some fresh produce, and linger as long as you like with an option to go to Backyard Brew.

If you are coming from the Peninsula.

Meet directly at Twelvemonth Bakehouse at 10:00AM. You can use Caltrain to arrive here directly (#609 or #608 will get you there in time) or park at the station.

How do I take Caltrain?

If you are coming from East Bay.

Take BART to Millbrae station where there will be a timed transfer on the Southbound platform. Make sure to arrive by 9:40 AM to make the transfer in time.

As you exit the BART train, turn right to take the elevators, stairs or escalators toward the concourse level. Once there, tap your clipper card to exit the BART area. Then follow signs to the southbound Caltrain platform and tap your Clipper onto the reader on the platform. When your train arrives (#608), get on!

How do I pay my fare?

If you already have a commuter monthly pass or a GO Pass, congratulations you do not need to buy a ticket! For GO Pass holders, just tap on and off. For monthly pass holders, just get on.

If you do not have a pass you will need one of the following:

  • a Clipper Card with at least $9 for a one way trip.

  • If you are joining at Burlingame: Use the app to get a a One-way Ticket for Zone 2 and 3 is $6. If you need to return to Burlingame get a Day pass for Zone 2 and 3 for $12.

  • If you are travelling in a group of 4, Use the app to get a Group Day Pass for $36.
