Capitol Hill Village Letter Writing Party

Start: Thursday, September 08, 2022 7:00 PM

Established in 2003, Working America reaches out to non-union working-class people about issues important to them. Year by year, we have been building membership and infrastructure. Working America now has 3.5 million members from working-class communities. We run a high-powered field canvass program, combining meaningful conversations at the door with analytics. We engage our members year-round, both in person and digitally, with calls to action, resources, and information about the political economy.

These letters will lay the groundwork for in-depth relationship building with folks who aren’t hearing from other parts of the economic justice movement and connect with working people on the issues that matter most in their lives and in their communities. Our goal of one million letters matches our conviction that the problems facing our country and our communities are too big and important to take small actions.

During this event we'll be introducing Working America's letter program and its impact, addressing letters, and writing statements to use in our letters.

If you've already signed up to participate in the letter program, please bring your materials, including printed letters, along with you. If you haven't signed up yet - just bring yourself! Everything else will be provided.
