  • Topic: Producing Certainty: How Climate Coalitions are Built and Broken

Building strong coalitions for climate action is hard. Even when policy creates economic benefits, the intended winners often sit on the sidelines. Experiences in Massachusetts, Washington, and West Virginia show the importance of not only creating winners, but making sure they know they're going to win.
  • Who? Alexander Gard-Murray is a political economist studying climate change, the energy transition, and distributive justice. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Climate Solutions Lab and the Rhodes Center for International Economics and Finance at Brown.
  • When? 7:00–8:15pm, Wednesday, February 1, 2023
  • Where? Plant City, "Cellar" meeting space. Free parking is available. Note: stairs required.
