Join the Charleston Climate Coalition for our January 2024 Meeting, where we'll connect with two wonderful local organizations, Root Down Building Collective and Charleston Moves, to learn more about their efforts to revolutionize the local buildings and transportation systems!

Root Down Building Collective works to advance regional, climate-smart, & equitable housing solutions. The materials we build with are often unhealthy and climate-destructive, but RDBC raises the question: what if we built with organic, carbon-sequestering materials instead? We know how -- we just need the systems and ability to implement these materials.

Charleston Moves works to implement multi-modal transportation comprehensively across Charleston County, winning bike lanes, pedestrian protections, and projects like the Ashley River Crossing bicycle & pedestrian bridge. If we're going to reduce our car travel and stop that rampant climate pollution, we're going to need Charleston Moves.

This meeting will include free vegan soup at the beginning of the evening and a CCC action rundown and activity after our partners present. Looking forward to seeing you!
