Every person experiences age, yet we don't all experience it the same way.  Many of you have asked about what can be done to change how we think about aging. Lately, we've had many conversations about internalized ageism and how to respond.  In this workshop, we will dive into our own experiences and where our narratives of age and aging come from.  Ageism is deeply entrenched in both our collective consciousness and our institutions. It impacts our lives, careers, and even our economic prosperity.

During this 90 minute interactive workshop, we will discuss how self-perception is influenced by our culture and our beliefs about age, and begin to dismantle the internalized ageism that holds us back from fully thriving. This workshop creates a space for self-reflection and meaningful connections with others to help us rethink our understanding of what it means to age.

In this participatory workshop we will start to change our beliefs by:

  • Examining our intersectional identities

  • Learning how culture influences those beliefs

  • Connecting with and learning from the experiences of others

Join us to work together to create the change we want to see, starting with ourselves.
