It's a frightening season outside, with fires, and floods, and hurricanes, and more! Even more scary than ghosts... lurks the once quiet and now unmistakable emergence of rapid and increasingly destructive Climate Change.

On Halloween eve, let's create a force for positive change that will scare off this looming threat for just one moment, and make as much noise as we can together, at a safe distance,

Join Emergency Arlington on Saturday Oct 31st in Arlington MA for a climate-themed Halloween parade at 4pm followed by a rally at 4:30pm. We'll process (masked and following CDC guidelines) with puppets and costumes from Arlington Town Hall, through the Old Burying Ground, to Pleasant St. and Mass Ave. while calling for immediate local and state climate action with our noise makers and chants. We invite youth and local climate allies to speak at the rally. We encourage you to come with or without (climate/nature themed) costumes and noisemakers (from trumpets and drums to pots and pans.)

We will meet at Arlington Town Hall, 730 Mass Ave, (4:00 pm) and process through the Town Gardens, around the Robbins Library and either through or beside the Old Burying Grounds next to the First Parish, ending up at the Arlington Center intersection for our Rally at Whittemore Park (at 4:30 pm).

This is a family friendly event! Children are very welcome when accompanied by an adult. Treats for all at the Rally. We are requiring masks. Please RSVP and feel free to invite others.

This action is part of the broader #EmergencyEverywhere campaign. We are demanding that Metro-Boston towns like Arlington, Somerville, Watertown, and all across Eastern MA officially declare that we are experiencing the beginnings of a devastating planetary emergency right now. We urge towns to tell the truth about the ecological crisis throughout all town programs, schools, and departmental actions.
