Climate Strike Bike Ride

Start: Saturday, September 21, 201910:00 AM

End: Saturday, September 21, 201912:00 PM

Join us for an easy Family-Friendly Climate Strike Bike Ride of approximately 4.3 miles. Gather at Dana Thompson Memorial (Manchester Rec) Park House for ride from 10:00 – 12:00. We will have some flags to attach to backs of riders – OR design, make and wear your own Climate Strike and Climate Justice messages on t-shirts, sweats, flags, etc. (keeping safe-bike-riding principles in mind).

Family Friendly Route (blue): We’ll bike from Park House around track to Riley Rink via Rec-Riley Connecting Path (off-road gravel/dirt); from Riley Rink south along Rt 7A to and around both Rotaries; up Depot Street to Richville Road and then cross Depot and return to Rotaries; then north on 7A, cross Main Street (left) onto Memorial Ave to MEMS and take off-road path back to Rec Park House.

Critical Mass Extension Route (green): For more experienced bikers, either add an extra mile, peeling off from the above route to continue South on Rt 7A, circle third rotary, then back to continue Family Friendly route, or add 2.5 miles continuing up to Union Street/Equinox Hotel and back.

Shortened Route (red): For those families with younger children who wish to opt for a shorter route, peel off from Rt 7A (before the first rotary) at Memorial Ave. to MEMS and take off-road path back to Rec Park House.

Please RSVP to help us know how many riders to expect. Hope to see many riders of all ages and levels pedaling for Climate Justice on September 21, 10:00 – 12:00.
