On 4th May, across the continent, we will rise up with people power to demand a better world for ourselves and generations to come. Cosplay for Climate is a national costumed protest where people are encouraged to dress up and unleash their inner climate hero.

Here in Adelaide, our focus will be climate villain Rupert Murdoch and The Advertiser - with the message that it's time to tell the truth about the climate crisis.

Join the forces of good (that's all of us!) at Wauwi / Light Square at 10:15am for a briefing and to finalise placards and costumes, before we head down to The Advertiser HQ on Waymouth St. Expect cheeky skits, chalking, and colourful, costumed shenanigans.

Then we'll swoop through the city, down Rundle Mall, on a mission to expose the fossil fuel villains and take back our planet - the power is ours!

This is a family-friendly action, all ages are welcome to join the fun! If you have little ones and the route is a little too long for them, you are welcome to meet us in the Mall (we expect to be at the Beehive Corner end around 11:45).

We'll finish up with a fun photo op at the Malls Balls around 12:30, followed by an optional debrief at Mukata / Hindmarsh Square.

Wear: Superhero costume! (traditional or inventive - the choice is yours)
Bring: Superhero & climate themed placards (get creative!) or we will have some blank available for you at the briefing to write your own message

Flat pavements, with ramps, smooth surfaces. We will walk at a medium pace so mobility aids such as scooters would be useful if your pace is slow. There will be regular pauses as we move along
