Staffan Laestadius is professor emeritus in industrial development at the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology and has for a long time researched the adjustment processes linked to and made necessary by manmade climate change. In addition to international publications and many contributions to opinion and cultural sections of daily newspapers, he has published four books for the Swedish public (with the following Swedish titles): Climate and Welfare (2013), Climate and Adjustment (2018), A Glimmer of Hope (2021) and Bigger Than You Ever Believe (2023). He is also coauthor of a cartoon book, a short and nice book about the climate (2024). The latter is an attempt to communicate the climate crisis to new audiences.
