This event will be a chance to meet other members of your community and discuss what environmental issues in Southampton we care about, what changes need to be made, and how we as a community can work together to make these changes happen.

The outcomes of these discussions will be used to help Southampton Climate Action Network and its member organisations plan future actions and campaigns. We also hope the event will empower attendees to take part in climate action themselves in the future.

These discussions will be facilitated to make sure that everybody gets a chance to speak, because we recognise that the loudest voices aren’t always the wisest and that many great ideas can be missed by not listening to everybody.

This event is open to everybody in Southampton who cares about the environment. However, intolerance will not be tolerated. If you have any questions, please email info@xrsouthampton.org

Aims of the afternoon -
protest against the continued failure of 28 COPs (Climate Summits);
encouraging activity in local groups;
networking and making friendships.

Gather 12.45pm for 1pm noisy dancey start in Guildhall Sq. Bring a shaker or dancing shoes to enjoy XR Rhythms.
If you want to grab a hot drink first, The Art House Cafe (Guildhall Sq) will be open from 11am, so do bring your cup.

1.15pm March to Bargate & back - bring placards or borrow one of ours.

2.15ish Fifteen ideas. One-minute speeches on Good-COP ideas to inspire you.

2.30ish Pledges! Share your Good-COP pledge.

2.45pm FREE SNACKS as we move INSIDE to The Art House Cafe (Guildhall Sq).

3-5pm Community Assembly
