Community Organising in a Higher Education Institution Context
Universities as civic agents of change

This Learning Thursday will focus on organising in a higher education institution context and will be of interest to anyone engaged in broad based community organising in a university.

The session will present findings from our first ever review of Citizens UK's partnerships with higher education institutions. Our new project 'Power Knowledge Exchange' is looking at the range of current activities including co-produced knowledge exchange research, teaching/student experience and civic engagement activities.

It will showcase some of the most innovative work across the sector and provide an opportunity for practitioners and leaders to connect and build a community of shared learning. Finally, we will look at the opportunities and challenges in the sector and consider together how best to develop the university as civic actor.
