Austin ISD is scheduled to begin reopening schools next week. We have so many questions about how to keep our students safe. Plans have been vague. Rumors are flying. Plans are changing. Then there was not even an opportunity for public testimony at this week’s school board meeting. We will provide a forum for teachers, staff, parents, students, and other community members to ask their questions in our own public testimony session this Thursday, Oct. 1 at 4:00 PM.

We will begin at 4:00 pm, but anyone can join at any time after that. Once in the Zoom meeting, you will complete a short form to indicate that you have a question or statement you would like to share. You will go into our queue and be called on in turn. Once called upon, you will have two minutes to make your statement.

We invite the superintendent and trustees to listen to the comments from our community and respond accordingly.
