Text on Red Background with Flowers. DSA-LA Conflict Resolution Series #3: How Shame Can Block Accountability. Tuesday, November 2 5:00pm-6:30pm Held in English, On Zoom.

Join members of DSA-LA’s Conflict Resolution Team for a facilitated conversation about accountability, transformative justice and how we collectively create a healthy culture of communication and responsible conflict in our own chapter. You do not need to have attended the previous meetings to join the discussion. Everyone is welcome to participate!

Our third topic, "How Shame Can Block Accountability", will be about diving deeper into the idea of shame as a feeling, as a tactic, and as a societal framework. Can shame and shaming be compatible with authentic accountability? Does it have strength and use that we don't like to admit or is it simply addressing a human and societal need that can be met in other, healthier ways?

We will be using the Building Accountable Communities video series produced by the Barnard Center for Research on Women to guide our conversations.

This event will be hosted in English on zoom. You are welcome to eat or move around during the meeting. Your kids, animals and podmates are welcome as well. You can contact us at ombuds@dsa-la.org with any accessibility concerns.
