It's time to demand affordable healthcare for Contra Costa County employees!

Come to the nine-union Rally for Affordable Healthcare at the Board of Supervisors meeting on September 18th and send a unified message to the Board of Supervisors: Enough is enough. We demand affordable healthcare for Contra Costa employees NOW!

Come at 8 am to make a show of force before the Board meeting, and afterwards pack the Board meeting to support your union speakers.

We are asking you to wear black to show your solidarity with the Coalition!

Only member action will force a change.

Members have already made progress by uniting in a nine union Healthcare Coalition and by making calls to Supervisors about affordable healthcare. The result? The County was forced to agree to bargain with the Coalition about healthcare costs before most of the Coalition unions even enter contract bargaining. But the County will come to the table and try to pass off a deal that won't fix healthcare. They know that the only leverage we have is our ability to hold them publicly accountable. They will count on members not taking the time out of our busy schedules to show up to Coalition actions.

Let's prove them wrong.

When members inside the meeting address the Board of Supervisors, their voices will only be as strong as the number of people rallying with them.

Let's make sure their voices are too strong for the County to ignore. Let's make sure all of Contra Costa knows that we won't stop until our healthcare is affordable. Together, we can win.
