HPAE Members Tell Rutgers to Stop Union Busting, Settle Our Contracts Now!

After almost a year of negotiations with Rutgers, our members are calling for action. Rutgers University’s delay at our bargaining tables make it clear that we are no beloved community. The HPAE United Bargaining Team is calling for a Day of Action on Tuesday, April 4^th to support winning a strong contract for all HPAE members at Rutgers. Members can support the Day of Action in person or virtually on break time, or time off safely.

In Newark, wear your HPAE red t-shirt and meet at the corner of 12^th and Bergen at 12pm on April 4th to assemble as a collective and take a solidarity walk through the area along high-visibility routes to bring attention to our campaign to win strong union contracts with Rutgers that accomplish the goals of our membership.

Our members deserve a real raise that provides for the quality of life we all deserve.

Our members deserve job security that allows for the delivery of vital patient care and a variety of community and social services New Jersians depend on to succeed.

Our members deserve material improvements in our work lives, from free parking at work to improved vacation accruals, to increased professional development and continuing education and more.

To win what we deserve, it will take a collective focus and action to move our employer to see reason at the bargaining table.
