Description:

Since 2005, Cuba's economy has been radically transforming its economy toward worker co-operatives. Over 500 co-ops have been created since the policy implementation began in 2011. Their strategy offers lessons for us as we consider and think about different kinds of socialist policies.

How did this economic transition come about? What do the early results say about the strategy? And, what could a co-op driven economic policy look like?

Join us for a Q&A on Cuba's 21st century economy with a special guest speaker! You don't need to be an expert on Cuba or socialism to join us. Check out our recommended reading ahead of this meeting to learn more.
