Cultural Intelligence Workshop

Start: Saturday, May 15, 2021 1:30 PM

End: Saturday, May 15, 2021 4:30 PM

Global warming is wreaking havoc across all corners of the globe and we need to decolonize the climate and ecological movement and build a multi-racial climate movement that centres the voices of First Nations peoples and people of colour.

In this workshop we will be exploring the concept of cultural intelligences (CQ) and learning strategies for developing this competency in-order to build a mass and inclusive movement for change.

A comparative analysis of the climate movement in India and Australia will be made, with the focus being on coal conflicts in India and Australia. Cultural Intelligence (CQ) is defined as the ability to cross boundaries and thrive in multiple cultures. We will be exploring CQ with a particular focus on climate and ecology.

Presenters are Apsara Sabaratnam, Dr. Ruchira Talukdar, Martin Wong, and Min-Hui Law.
