Demand Worker Justice at the Line Hotel

Power Design the electrical subcontractor working on the Line Hotel has been accused of failure to pay overtime, paying under minimum wage, making workers labor off the clock, and misclassifying workers.
Companies that steal from workers shouldn’t be rewarded with contracts - particularly ones with $46 million in tax abatements!
We further demand that:
Property owners, developers, and general contractors ensure that all workers on their worksites are treated fairly
DC government ensure that oversight is carried out to prevent wage theft and retaliation against workers
DCRA regularly inspects worksites for safety and quality
Local residents are hired and paid prevailing wages on projects with government money
Tax dollars are not used for projects where workers are underpaid and in hazardous conditions
