This is a virtual event
Hello! This is the second of two events for Metro DC DSA chapter members to discuss much-needed updates to the chapter's electoral endorsement process.* This event is hosted by the chapter's Political Engagement Committee and will be facilitated by PEC Chair Stuart K.
The goal of this event will be to walk away with some concrete suggestions for how the PEC should reform the chapter's electoral endorsement process. As stipulated by the chapter's bylaws, the PEC is responsible for hearing input from chapter members and setting the requirements that chapter members and candidates must meet before a candidate receives our chapter's endorsement.
Please see a rough agenda for this event below:
1. Meeting opening and goals
2. Review of current endorsement process
3. Review of possible endorsement requirements
4. Meeting closing and next steps
This is a 90-minute long meeting, so there will be plenty of time for discussion, interaction, and planning among chapter members who attend. Please come with lots of ideas!
If you will not be available for this discussion but still want to provide input on the chapter’s endorsement process, then please fill out this Google Form: https://bit.ly/3mpWT4e. As PEC members work to update the endorsement process, we will do our best to incorporate as much input from the form and live discussions as possible.
If you have questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or post in the #steering channel on the chapter’s Slack.

*The reason there are two events is to offer multiple times for chapter members to attend. Both events will be identical, but you can attend both if you'd like!
This event is open to DSA Members.
