Alisha Granderson is the Parent Organizer for the Peoria Parents Project (P32), a grassroots parent organization that advocates and fights for education justice for Peoria Public Schools students. She is passionate about empowering parents to become active participants and leaders in their children’s education and well-being. She has successfully incorporated the Parent Mentor Program, a program that allows parents to volunteer in their child’s school weekly, into multiple of Peoria’s public schools. She has also partnered with the Peoria Federation of Teachers to build a bridge between parents and teachers to support the students’ needs.  She is excited to share her experience and insights with Change Peoria at our monthly Difficult Conversations Series.
