Door-to-door canvassing/training in Maine

Start: Saturday, June 16, 201812:00 PM

End: Saturday, June 16, 2018 3:00 PM

Canvass door-to-door to get out the vote for this November's elections in Maine's second district, home to a Republican representative, but also home to the nicest people I have ever met going door-to-door. Also, at the end, there will be ice cream! Training will be provided beforehand. If you don't have a car, I will be driving from Massachusetts, and have room for 2 people comfortably, 3 people cozily, and am happy to share the ride!

Official info:

Join me and other Swing Left volunteers as we go out to talk to voters in our Swing District.

If you haven’t heard of it, Swing Left is a national grassroots network that helps people take action in their closest Congressional Swing District. The goal is simple: Swing the House in the 2018 midterm elections and put a check on the Trump agenda.

Studies show that getting voters to “commit” in advance can meaningfully increase turnout, so this summer Swing Left volunteers across the country will be going out into their target Swing Districts to talk to voters, identify supporters and ask them to commit to vote in 2018.

If you have never canvassed before, this is an easy way to get started!

Swing Left will provide materials and online trainings so you have everything you need to know to have a great time and make a meaningful impact.
