Early Career Educators Conference!
Start: Saturday, March 03, 2018• 8:30 AM
End: Saturday, March 03, 2018• 4:00 PM
On March 3rd, MAE will hold our Early Career Educators Conference. The event will include presentations and small group discussions with guest facilitators on subjects critical and relevant to early career educators.
This day is designed to provide participants with ideas to take back to the classroom on Monday. We'll reconnect with our inspiration for the profession, explore ways to deepen relationships with students, learn about resources to support an optimal learning environment, and collaborate with other educators to share best practices.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., with lunch served around noon. Sign-in and continental breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m.
Participants choose two breakout sessions that are more like roundtables, where early career educators can talk about their issues with their colleagues and with an experienced teacher present to facilitate. The breakout topics include:
- Data-Driven Instruction
- Restorative Justice
- Degrees Not Debt: Student Loan Forgiveness
- Educators and the Law
- Administrator Roundtable
- Collaborative Discussion, and more!
MAE members with five years of experience or less are encouraged to register.
