Start: Saturday, April 22, 202310:00 AM

End: Saturday, April 22, 202312:00 PM

Join Pacific Environment's Ports for People campaign and A Cleaner Alki in Seattle for a community cleanup in honor of Earth Day!

On Saturday, April 22, we will meet in front of ILWU Union Hall from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. PST to clean up the surrounding area. Our cleanup will happen along the outside transit corridor to the Port of Seattle. The event is free and open to all Seattle community members and their families; an RSVP is required to attend.

Cleanup materials such as gloves, hand sanitizer, etc., will be provided. Snacks and water will also be provided.

Pacific Environment works to protect communities around the Pacific Rim, including in Seattle, WA, where the Port of Seattle creates port and ship pollution that harms human health and the climate.

Our Ports for People campaign helps build a cleaner, more sustainable future by engaging port leaders to eliminate fossil fuels from portside communities and advance a clean ocean shipping future instead.

That’s why this Earth Day, we’re excited to clean up Seattle with you!

RSVP to secure your spot now! Thank you for taking action with us.

Note: Attendees will meet at the ILWU Union Hall parking lot near Highway 99 at the intersection of Spokane St. & E. Marginal Way at 10 a.m. PST for a brief introduction and distribution of clean-up materials before dispersing in groups. Attendees should dress for cool weather and walking: please consider bringing a jacket and wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes. See you there!
