Earth Week 2020: Family Days of Action!

Start: 2020-04-25 15:30:00 UTC Pacific Time (US & Canada) (GMT-08:00)

This is a virtual event

In honor of the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, we at Families for a Livable Climate have created a week of daily activities and meaningful actions for families and kids to do together. Each day focuses on a theme critical to our time and place in the climate movement, with tie-ins to daily global and local actions & events in coordination with Earth Day Live and other key partners (Stop the Money Pipeline coalition, 350PDX and Mothers Out Front). We hope these actions will inspire creativity, connection and empowerment for your families.

The week’s schedule:

Join us on Sunday 4/19 at 3:30pm for our Earth Week launch via family video call! We will introduce ourselves & the week of action, and create space to connect with eachother as we enter into this momentous week together.

Each morning Mon 4/20 - Fri 4/24 we’ll send you a toolkit for that day’s theme, including an informative overview of the topic, learning resources, kids activities, and an action to take that day from your own home,

The week will wrap up with a family video call on Saturday 4/25 at 3:30pm, in which we will reflect on the week’s actions and activities, and talk about how to build on the momentum!

How to join: RSVP here, and we will send the video call link to you via email Sunday morning. Then each morning Monday 4/20 - Friday 4/24 you’ll receive the daily learning/action materials in your inbox.

You can also follow along each day via social media (links are below). We encourage you to share this initiative with friends and family through email or social media!

We look forward to seeing you and taking action together for Earth Week 2020!

In hope and solidarity,
