Join us to find out more about next week’s Extraordinary Conference

Between the 17th and 23rd of May, the Green Party’s Extraordinary Conference will debate a number of proposals for changing the way that the party is run. Two different draft constitutions have been prepared. One of these is proposed by the Constitution Working Group which was set up with a mandate from conference to draft a new constitution based on the Holistic Review recommendations supported by Autumn 2018 Conference and a referendum of the full party membership. An alternative is being proposed by a group of individual members which has emerged more recently. Both cover a lot of detail and propose significant changes to party governance.

We have organised an hour of online discussion to help members in the North West understand the background to the Extraordinary Conference, the proposals that will be debated and the differences between the two draft constitutions. Speakers will include Liz O’Neill (Trafford Green Party) who was a member of the Holistic Review Commission and Ann Forsaith (Leeds Green Party) who is proposing the alternative constitution.
