We're hosting our fifth annual Eid Letter Writing webinar on Sunday, March 17 from 2-3:30pm ET!

Each year, tens of thousands of Muslims in the U.S. spend Eid behind bars. Incarceration is designed to be isolating, an experience can be intensified during holidays. This Ramadan, join us to write Eid letters, extend community care and solidarity to incarcerated Muslims, and learn about resistance to the prison-industrial complex from Ohio to Palestine.

WEBINAR DETAILS

In order to participate in letter-writing, please ensure you have the following supplies for the day of the webinar:

  • An envelope
  • A stamp
  • Blank, flat paper (it can be lined or unlined, but cannot be a card)
  • A black pen (many facilities do not allow writing in pencil, marker, or other colors of ink)

Notes:

  • This webinar is led by Muslims for a Muslim audience, and, as it is rooted in a community and faith tradition, the participation of Muslims is prioritized, but allies are still welcome to attend and write.
  • After you submit this RSVP, you will receive a Zoom link in your email inbox.
  • If you have any questions about the event, read our FAQ here.
