The Trump administration's actions in the last week have shown that our undocumented and immigrant families are under serious attack. There are rumors of massive ICE raid hitting Chicago communities this weekend. We can not stand by and let this happen. We need to take action to help our neighbors understand their rights and have the resources they need at hand to get the support and help they need in this incredibly dangerous time. We have it on good authority that ICE raids will begin in the Cook County area beginning SATURDAY. This is direct response to the pronouncements by the federal government over the last few days. We are asking everyone in our community to remain especially vigilant this weekend and join us in canvassing our neighborhoods this weekend to help distribute Know Your Rights flyers. This canvass is a joint effort by Alderman Carlos Rosa, Alderman Rossana Rodriguez, and State Rep. Will Guzzardi.
