On October 29th, at 10am in the Joint Hearing Room in Annapolis the House Appropriations Committee and the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee will convene a Joint Emergency Hearing about the staffing crisis. The purpose of this hearing will be:

• To examine the effects of the staffing crisis on the citizens of Maryland
• To develop a plan to solve the staffing crisis

We will have more updates but soon, but in the meantime, if you or your co-workers want to attend the Emergency Hearing, please ask for the day off as soon as possible! All state employees and members of the public are invited to attend.

We will have transportation to Annapolis leaving no later than 9AM (RSVP to confirm your spot no later than Tuesday, October 22nd).
