The planet is in ecological crisis: we are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction event this planet has experienced. The science is clear. We have entered a period of abrupt climate breakdown. This is an emergency. In this public talk, the latest climate science on where our planet is heading will be discussed, along with some of the current psychology around climate change, and from the study of social movements, offer solutions.  How Extinction Rebellion, a non-violent, direct action civil disobedience movement aiming to halt mass extinction and minimize social collapse came to be will be discussed.  

You will learn how you can immediately participate in this movement.
