The transportation sector employs nearly 10% of the U.S. workforce. At the same time, transportation is the largest contributor of U.S . greenhouse gas emissions. Our railroad system - the largest in the world - is in crisis, and the reason is simple: corporate greed. How do we win a Public TransFormation that allows us a transportation system that serves the public and the environment?

In Part 1 of our series, Where is this train going?, you heard the case for freight railroad transportation in the public interest!

In Part 2, we ask the question: Right of Way: What's Wrong with Passenger Rail? where we will hear from railroad workers, transit justice advocates, and other experts on how we got to such a sorry state of affairs for moving our people by reliable, fast, clean, and climate-friendly passenger rail service.

Join the Labor Network for Sustainability to hear from railroad workers and surrounding communities and help us develop a new understanding of this vital infrastructure toward a system in the public interest.
