Families Belong Together! Stop Separating Immigrant Children from their Families!

Start: Thursday, June 14, 2018 5:30 PM

Join us and over 4,000 others across the country who will stand together on this National Day of Action, in protest against the Trump Administration’s inhumane policy of family separation. Families Belong Together opposes the cruel, inhumane and unjustified separation of children from their parents along the U.S. border with Mexico and at other ports of entry into the U.S.

The fundamental constitutional protections of due process and equal protection embodied in our Constitution and Bill of Rights apply to every person, regardless of immigration status. And yet, ICE, Border Patrol, and other agencies are separating the children of immigrants and asylum-seekers and sending them to faraway detention centers.
To separate immigrant families, victims of violence, hunger and poverty, is to re-violate them. Children as young as 18 months are torn from their parent’s arms by the U.S. government. This is violent abuse. These families are victimized again by the government to which they turn for help.

Families Belong Together opposes the inhumane policies of the Trump Administration, Border Control, and I.C.E. and calls for immediate reform. We protest the horrific and vile conditions in which these children are kept. We protest the irreversible trauma that these children and parents have already been subjected to for the crime of seeking a better life.
We can’t allow these agencies the ability to continue doing infringing on human rights. Immigrant Rights are Human Rights.
Please stand with us in solidarity with Immigrant Families. Vital action steps will be given.
Please bring, make or wear hearts to symbolize the broken hearts of the the thousands of families who have been torn apart by this inhumane policy.
We can’t allow these agencies to continue doing infringing on human rights. Immigrant Rights are Human Rights. It’s time to take a stand. This is a determined but peaceful event.
