Filmed in 1970 by members of the socialist film collective Newsreel, Finally Got the News focuses on the conditions of Black autoworkers in Detroit and the formation of the League of Revolutionary Black Workers. Influenced by the upsurge in Black Power and the rank-and-file rebellion, the LRBW took on not just racism and exploitation on the assembly line but bigotry and complacency within their own union, the United Auto Workers.
