Fossil Free Fairfax NOW

Start: Saturday, September 08, 201810:00 AM

On September 8, thousands of actions will be held in cities and towns around the world to demand our local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us. We want to see Fairfax County Board of Supervisors commit to a just transition to 100% renewable energy by 2050 and to a ban on new fossil fuel infrastructure in the county. Do you want the same?

Join us for a PETITION DRIVE from 10 a.m. to noon. We'll disperse across Fairfax County to collect signatures for our Fossil Free Fairfax petition: http://bit.ly/FossilFreeFFX. Once you've RSVPed for this event, we'll send you the details and materials you'll need for successful signature collection.

At 12:30 p.m., we'll come together for lunch at the Lost Dog Cafe Dunn Loring, Halstead Square, 2729A Merrilee Drive, Fairfax, VA. Bring the signed petitions you've collected. Over lunch we'll celebrate our success and brainstorm next steps in the Fossil Free Fairfax campaign.
