Have you ever wondered what it's like to be arrested for taking action against climate change? In this event, we'll hear from activists in both the Global South and Global North: one protesting the construction of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) in Uganda, and the other fighting against new methane infrastructure in DC. They will each share their different experiences getting arrested in Kampala and Washington, DC, and take questions from the audience. Find out how people are resisting the construction of new oil and gas infrastructure and what you can do to help – and if you can't attend, please consider donating to the Ugandan student group fighting against EACOP!
