Georgia Mass Poor People’s & Low Wage Worker’s Moral March to State House Assemblies

Start: Saturday, March 02, 202410:00 AM

End: Saturday, March 02, 2024 1:00 PM

Join the Georgia Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival
on March 2nd at 10am ET as it joins 30 other states across the country for a day of nationally coordinated simultaneous direct action.

This action is a part of a series of activities that will put our legislators on notice - we won’t be silent about policies that do not help poor and low-income people in Georgia thrive!

Schedule:

- 10:00 am - Arrive and prepare for a short march and other activities (instructions to be given at the event)

- 10:15 am - Short march nearby

- 10:45 am - Return to the church and prepare for assembly programming

- 11:00 am - Facebook broadcast of assembly

We stand united with campaigns across the country as we call out our legislative leaders and governors at our state capitals on March 2. Together we will continue to bring attention to the impact of policies that promote systemic racism, systemic poverty and inequality, the war economy and militarism, environmental devastation, and the false moral narrative that blames the poor, not the causes of poverty.

Join us as we move forward together, and not one step back on March 2nd!

Please see our Covenant of Nonviolence which applies to all participants in PPC events.
