Gerrymandering is a 2010 documentary film written and directed by Jeff Reichert. The film covers the history of the redistricting practice, how it is used and abused to benefit the two major political parties. It chronicles a California effort to change the process. Following the movie, a speaker from Fair Districts PA will discuss the statewide effort to reform redistricting in Pennsylvania in the context of nationwide politics. Questions will be taken from the audience. Sponsors: Fair Districts PA, League of Women Voters of Lancaster County, Lancaster Interchurch Peace Witness   The event is free and open to the public. Space is limited.   Fair Districts PA is a coalition of citizens and organizations working to ensure that legislative and congressional district maps are drawn in a fair and transparent way so that voters choose their legislators, rather than legislators choosing their voters. With leadership from League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania and Common Cause PA, groups from across the state have endorsed strong redistricting principles.
