Ghost Stories of Durham Group Rides

Start: Saturday, October 31, 2020 5:00 PM

October 31st

5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Please note: this event is now FULL. You may still register below to be placed on a waitlist. We will contact you if spots open up.

Bike Durham volunteers will guide you through some of the most haunted locations of Durham. From the North Carolina School of Science and Math, where the ghost of a nurse walks the hallways of the building, which used to be a hospital, to Carl Jung's poltergeist and its connection to Duke's Parapsychology Lab, learn more about Durham's ghostly and ghastly past!

Wear a costume, light up and decorate your bike for extra spooky fun!

  • Difficulty level: Moderate (some main roads, length of ride, takes place at dusk)

  • Age level: Adults, young adults

  • Appropriate for: Road bicycles, hybrid bicycles, mountain bicycles

This will be an in-person event, but we are taking precautions to prevent the spread of covid:

  • All volunteers and participants must wear masks (feel free to wear a Halloween mask over your cloth mask!)

  • Those not in family groups will be social distancing

  • Volunteers and participants should not attend if they have tested positive for covid, have any covid symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who is covid positive within the last two weeks.

  • If we have more than 15 participants per ride, we will break up into more than one group.

Please note that this ride also takes place at dusk, so you should be comfortable riding in low light.
