Good Cause Troy has gathered 1,800 petition signatures, exceeding our goal for Good Cause opt-in supporters! We attempted to submit the petitions to the Board of Elections, but they fighting us. It is even more critical now that we make the case directly to the city council and the Mayor's office, and let them know that they should listen to the will of renters and pass the legislation.

At this February meeting of Good Cause Troy, we will draft statements to give when we go to the March 6th City Council meeting (at 7pm, save the date). These statements will reflect our personal stories and will show how badly we need more renters protections like Good Cause.

Join us at on Monday 2/24/25 from 6:30-8:30 PM at 386 1st Street in Troy to get activated for the next step of the campaign! You can expect:

• Free food (pizza) and a winterization supply giveaway (supply might be limited)
• Update on the campaign progress and next steps for the campaign
• Brief tenant organizer skill building or statement writing break out groups
