With the consequences of climate change becoming ever more clear and dire with each passing day, a new powerful wave of the climate movement has been swelling up over the last couple of years. Young people around the world have been rising up to defend our future, and have been going on strike – every week, all over the planet – for months. In the September Climate Strikes alone, 7.6 million people took to the streets with us.

But our movement isn't going anywhere. Now, we are preparing for the next wave of Climate Strikes.

Sign up now to be a part of the November 29th - Black Friday #ClimateStrike!

Update: Nov 25, 2019

This coming Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is the next Climate Strike. In September, nearly 300 of our friends, family and neighbors gathered in front of Greenville's City Hall demanding action - demanding efforts to alter the course of the status quo - demanding real, systemic change here in Greenville to a greener present and future.

It is apparent that our elected leaders have not heard our voices demanding change. It is evident they are not heeding the call of the 11,000 scientists worldwide proclaiming the 'climate crisis' as a Global Emergency!

As a counter to our elected official's apathy, this Friday's #ClimateStrike will be different.

  • Show up, hold your signs and be active - actively silent!

We will be silent to reflect the attitude of local officials who refuse to take the actions necessary TODAY! City Management has stated that they will only act on projects that will succeed - regardless of the need to put effort into all known methods to solve the climate emergency.

  • No songs. No speeches. A silent protest to demand action, now!

May our silent protest echo into the stratosphere and be deafening to those on Greenville City Council and those on Greenville County Council. #StrikeWithUs loudly without a single word.

See you on Friday at Noon on Greenville’s One Plaza!
