We’ll be taking action together to demand Lloyd’s of London insurers stop underwriting the Adani Carmichael coal mine. We’ll be phoning executives at Hamilton, one of the last syndicates at Lloyd’s of London still willing to insure the coal mine.

There has been so much progress, and many victories in the fight to stop insurers. Only last month Lloyd’s of London insurer Ascot ruled out renewing their policy for the Adani coal mine once it expires in September after months of pressure. It’s more important than ever to keep the pressure on those who still have not ruled out insuring this climate-destroying project.

We’ll be joined by Australian activists from the Stop Adani campaign, who have successfully convinced insurance companies to rule out insuring the Adani mega-mine. They’ll be taking part in the action alongside us, and sharing their experiences and knowledge. Together, we’ll take action digitally to pile the pressure onto Hamilton to stop Adani in its tracks. There will be space for everyone to discuss and share ideas of how we can maintain this momentum against Lloyd’s and its insurers.
