Haringey Green Party: 2026 Election Launch Event
Start: Sunday, October 13, 2024• 5:30 PM
As one election cycle ends, another begins – and make no mistake, this one is hugely important.
Haringey will see its next local council elections in May 2026 – a little more than 18 months away – and we are eager to give the borough its first ever Green councillors.
In 2022, we were only 113 votes away from doing just that. But a jaw-dropping surge in local support during the general election suggests that this time we can secure the win.
This event is for local members to come together to discuss strategy for the forthcoming council elections, including helpful insight into how everyone can contribute to our success.
If you feel excited and inspired by the Green Party's historic success – locally and nationally – in this summer's general election, getting involved now is the best thing you can do to help us maintain momentum.
Here is an agenda for the evening:
- Welcome from Pamela Harling and Colin Ettinger, co-chairs of Haringey Green Party
- Introduction to London Green Party's 'Target 2026'
- Selection of target ward for Haringey
- Next Steps
- Involvement of members
- Other issues
We will be hosting the meeting at the All Good Bookshop in Wood Green, but volunteers will also be able to dial in remotely via Zoom if they are not able to attend in person.
Please use this Zoom link at the date and time listed to join.
IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND, BUT STILL WISH TO HELP
Please fill out this Google form, giving us a way to contact you and an idea of what specifically you would be willing to help with.
We really hope you'll meet us this Sunday to take the first step towards greater Green Party representation in Haringey.
