Find out about Extinction Rebellion (XR), an international movement using non-violent mass civil disobedience as a tried and tested way to force governments to take the action that is needed.

‘Heading for Extinction (and what to do about it)’ generally precedes the Non-Violent Direct Action (NVDA)/Civil Disobedience training.  This introductory talk and NVDA training will help you get involved with the XR movement. We also run regular online orientation/Q&A space for new rebels, which introduces you to Extinction Rebellion, how it works, what its aims, principles and values are, and how you can get involved. NVDA training is an introduction for those who want to participate in mass actions and you can also take part in more specific action skills trainings.

This introduction talk provides an up-to-date and honest picture of what is causing the climate emergency, and what needs to happen, urgently, to prevent the worst of climate disasters.  There are opportunities for questions and discussion.
