Senator Jerry Moran stated in this video, "If this bill isn’t good for Kansas, it isn’t good for me." He also says he is looking at the following issues:

• More Americans having access to affordable health care
• People with a pre-existing conditions getting coverage
• Lowering costs
• Providing access to health care in rural areas
• Changes in Medicaid affecting those with disabilities
  

Although the CBO score won’t be released until Monday, early reports suggest the items listed above will not be covered under the senate bill, and, that in fact, it is quite similar to the House bill, which he criticized.
