What's it like being a councillor, how do they get elected?

We have county council elections in May 2025, city elections in just over 3 years time and we have just achieved a landmark result in the recent General Election.

Having won the local elections popular vote in the city for 2 years running we now need to build on this, starting with the county elections.

To achieve gains in all three elections we are building a bigger team.

With this in mind you are invited to an informal meeting where you can hear from current councillors, campaign managers and those with other roles to find out what it's really like, what they do and why it is such a rewarding experience.... just in case you might want to join them at some point in the future.

To get people elected takes a huge effort, and learning from the most successful green parties in the country, supported by our West Midlands colleagues , we are looking to fill a host of discrete roles that will build a team that will allow us to win more Green councillors and a Green MP for Worcester. This event gives you a chance to understand what is involved in each role.

We will not be recruiting on the night.

We will be trying to gain your interest and listen to your questions.

There will be meetings in other locations and at different times, but this one is aimed specifically at people living in the Arboretum, St Stephen's and Rainbow Hill.

Free Parking near the door and step free access with a disabled loo.
