An event for Homelessness Week: August 2024 Workshop and campaign action for the End Child Poverty campaign
You are invited to take part an exclusive workshop to understand the causes, systemic barriers and community wide solutions for children experiencing homelessness in Perth.
In partnership with the Equity Project and St Vincent de Paul Society WA, the Valuing Children Initiative is holding this lunchtime event as part of Homelessness Week 2024.
This four-hour premier event is open to researchers, service providers and people with lived experience to come together and discuss, through a workshop, the issue of children and homelessness.
The group will hear from campaigners and researchers in the field and then a two-hour workshop to develop an advocacy report to be used for the End Child Poverty Campaign and Shelter WA.

Time: 945am for a 10am start – 2.30pm
Duration: 4.5 hours including lunch
Location: South Perth Community Centre Cnr Sandgate St and South Tce, South Perth
This workshop is only open to those who have expert knowledge or do case work with children experiencing homelessness in Perth. This can be across the sector including OOHC, FDV, refuges, government and non-government funded organisations.
Places are limited to two people per service to ensure a breadth of knowledge and experience.
