I-49 Connector public hearing scheduled

Start: Wednesday, April 27, 2016 4:00 PM

End: Wednesday, April 27, 2016 8:00 PM

A public meeting is being hosted on Wednesday by the Louisiana DOTD to receive the public's views on the proposed I-49 Connector which is intended to extend I-49 through the historic center of Lafayette. In past meetings, the DOTD representatives have not been receptive to comments in opposition to the overall project. However, they have also stated that the project will NOT move forward if there is strong local opposition. Let's be sure our voices can no longer be ignored, and that our comments are honestly reported and addressed. Please attend this meeting and make your voice heard.

If you are unable to attend, or if you have more extensive comments which are not presented (or are disallowed) you can comment via email (comment@lafayetteconnector.com). You can also mail written comments. Send written comments to:

Lafayette Connector Partners, Attn: AECOM, P.O. Box 3136, 70502

Comments must be postmarked no later than May 7, 2016 in order to be included in the official Public Meeting Transcript, and should include the commenter's name and address.
