Build The Era is honored to have Emily Voorde join us in conversation focused on Accessibility as we mark July being Disability Pride Month. Emily recently served as an Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Engagement as the Biden-Harris Administration’s liaison to Disabled Americans and K-12 educators. A South Bend, Indiana native, she also served as Chasten Buttigieg’s body woman during Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential campaign. Her focus and passion are centered on justice for individuals with disabilities and equitable access to education. Her conversation with Build The Era will include how we can advocate for more access in all modes of transportation — public and private — and ways to be an ally to the disabled community. She will also share her personal experiences as a wheelchair user navigating transportation. Accessibility is one of Build The Era’s Rules of Road Safety, and we’re grateful to have Emily helping us truly understand its importance in transport for every body.

Zoom call will include closed captioning.
