Indivisible Suffragette Sisters Huddle Meeting
Start: Sunday, February 26, 2017• 3:30 PM
End: Sunday, February 26, 2017• 6:30 PM
NOTE: Currently our #Huddle is not seeking donations. All we ask is that those attending either order a $10 minimum from Du-par's 24 Hour Traditional Menu or ideally “Beat the Clock” where if you order between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. the price you pay for your meal is whatever the time is (i.e. Order at 4:11 and pay $4.11 + drink). Unless specifically stated otherwise, parking in the back is complementary on Sunday's.
We need to show Congress that there is broad resistance to Trump’s agenda. Join this meeting where you can help plan Congressional office visits, coordinate phone calls, and more.
What is a Next Up #Huddle? During the first few weeks of February, we will gather together in our neighborhoods and begin to transform the energy we saw at Women’s Marches into local and national action. This is the first step we need to take in order to mobilize millions to win back the country and world we want.
Our #Huddle will be a positive, inclusive, and action-oriented local meeting where marchers and allies can gather together to define our next steps as a movement, and envision how to transform the energy we saw at Women’s Marches into local and national action.
#HUDDLE : This week we celebrate Black History Month, also known as African-American History Month in America and other parts of the world to remember the people and events that have made a difference for human rights. Special guest Micheal Jospeh Williams scheduled to speak briefly on Black Lives Matter. This meeting we intend to broaden the conversation around state violence to include further education on all of the ways in which many Black people are intentionally left powerless at the hands of our state. We intend on discussing the various ways in which many Black lives are deprived of basic human rights and dignity we will learn how each of us within our community can become more involved in protecting our brothers and sisters and advocate for such a significant ongoing issue. In addition we will also cover the up-coming Los Angeles City & County Election — March 7th, 2017.
