Meet Charlotte Alter, Author of "The Ones We've Been Waiting For"
As racial injustice and widening economic inequalities are thrown into the spotlight by the growing global health crisis of Covid-19, there's hope and inspiration to be found in how young people have been seizing today's issues to fight for change. In her new book, "The Ones We've Been Waiting For: How a New Generation of Leaders Will Transform America," journalist Charlotte Alter explores how millennial leaders in Congress and beyond are disrupting the status quo and redefining the future by tackling racism, climate change, student debt, and big tech with innovation and urgency.

Charlotte Alter is a national correspondent for TIME, covering the 2016, 2018, and 2020 campaigns, youth social movements, and women in politics. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
